The Great British Care Awards - Sponsored by h.e.t. software ltd


The Great British Care Awards are a celebration of excellence across the care sector. The aim of the awards are to:

  • Promote best practice within the care sector.
  • Pay tribute to individuals who have demonstrated outstanding excellence in their field of work.

Following on from the success of the Great British Care Awards in 2009, h.e.t. software ltd were proud to be principal sponsors of the Great British Care Awards once again in 2010.

There were 9 regional awards leading to 2 national finals- one for homecare and a second for the care home sector being held in London in 2011.

There were eighteen awards categories available for nomination including 4 new categories: - The Carer's Award, Putting People First Award, The Supported Housing Award (Rural), The Supported Housing Award (Urban).  

National Support

The awards have received support from across the social care sector, including the Department of Health, the Association of Directors of Adult Social Services (ADASS), Ceretas, the English Community Care Association (ECCA), the Social Care Institute for Excellence (SCIE), the National Skills Academy and Skills for Care.
